OpenAI Expands Cybersecurity Service Daybreak, Launches Dedicated Model GPT-5.6-Cyber

According to Deep Tide TechFlow on August 11, as reported by TechCrunch, in response to the increasing prevalence of AI-driven cyberattacks, OpenAI announced this week the expansion of its cybersecurity service Daybreak and the launch of a new dedicated cybersecurity model, GPT-5.6-Cyber. Daybreak introduces two new service tiers: Blue and Red. Blue is designed for most enterprises, offering basic defense functions such as incident response, malware analysis, and patch validation. Red is aimed at advanced users, providing tools for security testing and vulnerability research. GPT-5.6-Cyber is only available at the Red tier and is currently accessible exclusively to trusted partners such as Accenture, IBM, CrowdStrike, and Cloudflare.
