[Intel Reportedly Plans to Increase Stock Offering to Approximately $20 Billion]
BlockBeats News, August 11, according to Bloomberg, sources revealed that Intel is seeking to raise the size of its stock offering from the previously planned $15 billion to approximately $20 billion, an increase of about one-third. The offering price is expected to be around $95 per share or higher, which represents a discount of approximately 6.5% compared to last Friday's closing price. Sources stated that the offering has already garnered subscription demand exceeding $100 billion. If underwriters exercise the overallotment option, the final fundraising amount could significantly exceed $20 billion. However, discussions are still ongoing, and the offering size and pricing may still change. JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup are participating in this offering. Intel's stock fell 4.1% during regular trading hours on Monday and remained mostly flat after hours; the company's stock price has still risen approximately 164% year-to-date. Bloomberg noted that the largest stock financings in the U.S. this year have mostly come from companies benefiting from the growth in AI-related spending. Alphabet is raising up to $85 billion through market offerings and equity-linked transactions, while Oracle also plans to raise $20 billion through market offerings. [Original Link]
