Bitcoin's latest soft fork attempt: only two blocks mined in 8 hours, almost a failure.
BIP-110 aimed to restrict inscriptions, images, and other non-financial data, but miner support was only around 2.5%, far below the 55% activation threshold. Several mining pools have since suspended support.
The controversy once again highlights: Bitcoin rules can be proposed for modification, but without hash power, economic incentives, and community consensus, it's hard to truly change the main chain.
