Any trading decision we make must include a time limit to be considered a valid decision. Recently, I came across a perspective that essentially says: there's a high probability that in the next Bitcoin bull cycle, due to MicroStrategy's strategic shift, $MSTR won't skyrocket like a spiral anymore. The conclusion is that buying $MSTR is no longer a good move—just stick to buying Bitcoin ($BTC). However, until the next few years play out, no one can confirm or debunk this view. That said, I have two points to add: 1. Look at the volatility of the coin and the stock itself. For Bitcoin to double from its current price, it would need to hit $130K, breaking its previous all-time high. For $MSTR to double, it only needs to reach $200. 2. Consider time and momentum. Maybe the above perspective will eventually be proven correct, but perhaps it won't be until the mid-to-late stages of the next Bitcoin cycle that $MSTR is confirmed to no longer skyrocket. But by then, Bitcoin might already be at $130K, and $MSTR might have returned to its previous high. Bitcoin could still keep climbing, but $MSTR might not follow. Just like at the beginning of 2023, we were still hyped about L2, modularity, and other things that were eventually proven to be duds.
