《Market Research|The Biggest Lies in Crypto for 2025》
--- Who made the most outrageous BTC predictions? Who’s the biggest “scammer” in the crypto world?
In 2025, the crypto space was flooded with BTC price targets of “$200K, $250K, $500K.”
I’ve compiled a “scam” photo of all the people and institutions who made the wildest BTC predictions. Check out the image below.
Saylor called for $150K+, Arthur Hayes predicted $200K–$250K, PlanB’s S2F model pointed to even higher prices, and institutions like Bitwise, VanEck, and Bernstein also gave targets of $180K–$200K or more.
And the result? Every single one of them got slapped in the face!
BTC did hit a new all-time high, but the peak was only around $126K.
It’s not that predictions can’t be wrong, but they shouldn’t be so exaggerated and unrealistic!
What’s really worth reflecting on is: why did so many people collectively overestimate in the same direction?
Macro liquidity, institutional buying, and the halving narrative were all real, but the market never moves according to your target price just because the “logic is correct.”
The most dangerous thing in trading isn’t being wrong about the direction—it’s assuming that being right about the direction guarantees the price will follow.
That’s the real discussion point behind this chart.
Do you think the people and institutions in the image are the biggest “scammers” in the crypto world?
