Has Goldman Sachs already acquired 10.5% of NBIS shares? Not exactly. I've seen a lot of people sharing this image, but according to the latest 13G filing, Goldman Sachs holds 10.5% of NBIS shares. One thing to clarify: Goldman Sachs is an investment bank and brokerage firm, so this likely represents shares held on behalf of its clients, not purely proprietary holdings (i.e., positions fully funded by Goldman Sachs' own capital and bearing its own risk). If it were purely proprietary holdings from Goldman Sachs' own accounts, there typically wouldn't be this kind of standard disclaimer language for 'client accounts,' nor would there be emphasis on the investment advisor (IA) role and shared authority.
That said, the good news is that in the 13G filing disclosed on June 30, Goldman Sachs reported a 7.2% stake in NBIS, and now, just over a month later, the 13G filing shows an increase to 10.5%. This indicates that Goldman Sachs' clients are still very optimistic about NBIS.
