According to Livecoins, Brazil's Superior Court of Justice (STJ) has denied the release request of a suspect in a major Pix hacking case, maintaining their detention. The case involves payment infrastructure service provider C&M Software. Investigations allege that the criminal group accessed its settlement system without authorization, stealing approximately 813 million Brazilian reais (around $160 million USD). The funds were then dispersed across nearly 300 bank accounts, with some converted into BTC and USDT and transferred through multiple blockchains to obscure their origin. The main attack occurred in June 2025, and the case is still under investigation and trial.
