Last night, there was some pretty interesting news—Buffett has started buying U.S. stocks again! We all know Buffett has been holding cash for 4 straight years without buying U.S. stocks. At the same time, Berkshire Hathaway has been the biggest stock seller over the past 4 years. Yesterday, Berkshire Hathaway's Q2 cash reserves dropped to $365.51 billion, down from about $397.4 billion in Q1. This marks the end of Berkshire's 14-quarter net selling streak. According to the earnings report, Berkshire made net stock purchases of nearly $20 billion in Q2, including about $10 billion in a private placement with Alphabet, Google's parent company, to support investments like its AI data centers. They also spent about $6.8 billion acquiring homebuilder Taylor Morrison.
