Iran's security chief says the U.S. must correct its behavior and lists conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz Mohammad Bagheri Zolghadr, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, is the latest Iranian official to discuss the 'conditions' for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement released on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Zolghadr stated that the U.S. must correct its behavior and outlined the following demands for the U.S.: 1. Stop threatening Iran and its sacred values 2. Permanently cease military actions against Iran and its regional allies 3. Withdraw U.S. Navy and Air Force units involved in the blockade against Iran 4. Compensate Iran for losses suffered in recent conflicts 5. Lift U.S. sanctions 6. Unfreeze Iran's frozen assets He emphasized that, whether in war or negotiations, the Supreme National Security Council will not compromise on these demands.
