[From Security Crisis to Market Catalyst, Bloomberg Analyst Says Coldcard Hack Incident Could Signal a Turning Point for the BTC Market] According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on August 8, Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas posted on the X platform, stating that Bitcoin spot ETFs recently recorded their strongest weekly inflows since April of this year, with a net inflow of approximately $1 billion in a single week. This marks the third-best performance since last October's 'Silent IPO' event. Several products, including BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), have seen consecutive days of inflows following the Coldcard wallet incident. Eric Balchunas added that while a direct causal relationship cannot be fully confirmed, the strong correlation between the timing of the fund flows and the incident is 'hard to ignore.' If it is ultimately proven that the Coldcard incident becomes the starting point for Bitcoin's next rally, it would carry a certain irony—since an attack on a Bitcoin cold storage wallet is typically regarded as one of the worst security events. However, market sentiment may have shifted as a result. The recent sustained inflows into ETFs indicate that institutional investors' demand for Bitcoin allocation is recovering, and the market is reassessing the impact of the prior security incident.
