[Flash Trade May Cease Operations, Currently Seeking Acquisition Options]
Foresight News reports that Solana perpetual contract trading platform Flash Trade has announced that if a suitable buyer cannot be found, the protocol will gradually cease operations. The team stated that this decision is not due to financial reasons but is based on a comprehensive consideration of changes in market direction, a decrease in market participants, and the team's assessment of the future trajectory of the cryptocurrency industry. Additionally, the team noted a divergence in operational philosophy between their approach to exchange management and the current direction of industry development.
Flash Trade stated that, as it is unable to return funds proportionally to FAF token holders by freezing the AMM, it is currently seeking to sell its tech stack, brand, and intellectual property. Proceeds from the sale will be distributed to FAF holders based on their holdings, with the team and team tokens excluded from the distribution. Furthermore, the team announced the removal of the three-month delayed unlocking restriction for token staking, allowing holders to immediately unstake their tokens. Withdrawal functionality will remain open, and the team will host an AMA on August 11 at 00:00 to address questions from token holders regarding the sale process, distribution plan, and other related matters.
