[SK Hynix: To Invest $38.4 Billion in Expanding Chip Business in South Korea] According to reports from Cailian Press, SK Hynix announced plans to invest $38.4 billion in expanding its chip business in South Korea. Specifically, SK Hynix plans to invest KRW 19.1 trillion ($13.47 billion) in the M17 chip plant in Cheongju, with the investment to be completed by 2031. Additionally, it plans to invest KRW 35.2 trillion (approximately $24.9 billion) in Yongin for the second phase of chip plant construction. The Yongin plant will produce HBM and other next-generation DRAM.
