Since this post went up, it took 4 days of consolidation to push the price of bitcoin:native from 63k to 64.8k. Along the way, a lot of long positions got shaken out, and some even flipped to shorts. Now it's pulling back to test the upper edge of the channel.
Tonight, we’ve got the non-farm payroll data. Previous value: 5.7, expected: 8.
If it’s significantly above 8k (e.g., >12-15k) → Employment remains resilient, which could weaken rate-cut expectations, bullish for the dollar, bearish for gold and U.S. bonds.
If it’s close to or below 5.7k → Employment continues to cool, reinforcing expectations of Fed easing, bearish for the dollar, bullish for risk assets and precious metals.
Personally, I don’t think it’ll be too low—probably somewhere between 7-8. Let’s wait for the market’s reaction. If bitcoin:native can hold above 64k after the data release, it could still push further up to 65.8k.
