《Mr. Xiaolong · Today's Thoughts》
—— What truly determines investment returns has never been *what* you buy, but *why* you buy it.
Today, I rewatched a video interview with Duan Yongping. The thought process of investment gurus is truly unique. He mentioned that his entire investment philosophy boils down to one sentence: "Buying stocks is buying companies. It's that simple."
In today's market, investors are constantly discussing:
Which sector will rise?
Which stock will double?
Where will BTC's price go next?
But truly outstanding investors often think about entirely different questions.
They care more about:
Why is this company worth this price?
Does this industry have competitiveness over the next decade?
Can it continue generating cash flow?
Buffett's famous quote that has influenced countless investors:
"Buying stocks is buying companies."
This sentence may seem simple, but it truly captures the essence of investing.
If you're only staring at candlestick charts, you're buying a string of prices.
If you're studying business models, competitive advantages, and cash flow, you're buying an actual company.
Many people think the hardest part of investing is predicting the market.
In reality, the harder part is understanding a business.
Because true long-term returns don't come from predicting stock prices but from recognizing value.
Of course, for the vast majority of ordinary investors, they don't have the time or ability to deeply research every company.
That's why different people need different approaches.
Long-term investing requires studying value.
Short-term trading requires respecting trends.
Don't use value investing methods for short-term trades, and don't apply short-term trading thinking to long-term investments. Finding a system that suits you is more important than blindly imitating any guru.
There is no single "correct" answer in investing, but there is definitely a method and system that works for you. I'm also working hard to build my own three-dimensional trading system, my "altcoin trading system," and the newly created "six-dimensional stock trading system."
If you believe in Bitcoin's long-term investment value, then building positions in the $50K-$60K range and holding for two to three years will likely result in doubling or tripling your returns. This is value investing.
Having goals, a system, execution, and unwavering belief is the only way to succeed and make dreams come true. Keep pushing forward and never give up.
Which investment method do you resonate with more?
A: Value investing, buying companies.
B: Trend trading, following the market.
C: Value + Trend, combining both systems.
