Senate by unanimous consent just voted to begin debate on a stopgap spending bill funding government past the Sept. 30th fiscal year deadline through the November election until December 11th. Thune then filled the amendment tree to block additional amendments from being offered and filed cloture on the Collins substitute amdt (text of the CR) and the underlying bill itself, setting up votes for later this week.(Craig Caplan)
