[Robinhood Unaffected by Crypto Market Slump, While Coinbase Activity Remains Tied to Trading Cycles]
According to The Block, the downturn in crypto trading has highlighted the gap between Robinhood and Coinbase. Both companies saw a decline in Q2 crypto trading revenue, but Robinhood's options, equities, and prediction market businesses filled the gap, whereas Coinbase lacks similar buffering engines. Robinhood's crypto trading revenue fell to $100 million (a year-over-year decrease of 37.5%), accounting for only 13% of total trading revenue. However, total trading revenue reached $776 million, matching the Q4 2025 record—options revenue hit a record $342 million (a quarter-over-quarter increase of 31%), equities revenue reached a record $129 million (a year-over-year increase of 95%), and prediction market revenue, at $156 million, surpassed crypto business revenue for the first time.
