[Naver Expands AI Infrastructure Cooperation in South America, Engages in Multiple Negotiations with Governments and Enterprises in Brazil and Chile] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on August 4, citing Yonhap News Agency, Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon led a delegation accompanying South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's visit to South America, engaging in cooperation talks with AI data center companies and government officials in Brazil and Chile. In Brazil, Naver reached agreements with Scala Data Centers and Tecto Data Centers on joint GPU and AI cloud operation models. In Chile, Naver discussed SaaS distribution, smart city development, and GPU cluster construction with Entel, the country's largest telecom operator. Additionally, they held discussions with senior Chilean government officials and the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA) on public AI transformation and sovereign AI development. Choi Soo-yeon stated that through subsequent practical negotiations, Naver aims to actively promote the construction of AI infrastructure and the development of related industries in the South American region.
