The Nigerian Revenue Service (NRS) has issued guidelines on taxing virtual assets, clarifying that profits from the sale, exchange, and transfer of crypto assets must be taxed according to the law. Income from mining, staking, validation, airdrops, and token rewards is also included in the tax scope. Exchanges, custodians, and other VASPs are required to complete tax registration and fulfill transaction reporting and record-keeping obligations. (The Nation)
