[LpdFi Protocol Attacked, $700,000 Lost as Attacker Profits via Flash Loan and Price Manipulation] According to monitoring by Chainalysis, Hexagate detected an attack on the LpdFi protocol yesterday, resulting in a loss of approximately $700,000. The attacker borrowed about $44 million through a flash loan and artificially inflated the price of the LPD token on a DEX by 71 times. Subsequently, they used tokens worth only about $2 million to fabricate deposits worth approximately $140 million within the protocol. One second later (just crossing the protocol's daily interest settlement boundary), the attacker claimed a full day's worth of interest on the exaggerated position, triggering the protocol to liquidate its entire liquidity pool and pay out the stolen funds. After repaying all loans, the attacker profited approximately $700,000 and immediately transferred the funds through Relay and TornadoCash.
