Weapons for Ukraine – now. The quality of an embassy’s work must be measured by the amount of weapons Ukraine receives, the funding that supports Ukraine, and the political decisions and concrete steps that put pressure on Russia. That is the clear framework. A Ukrainian ambassador must know how many air defense missiles are available in the country where they serve – and how to ensure that those missiles are not sitting in stockpiles somewhere, but loaded into our launchers here in Ukraine. Missiles for Patriots, NASAMS, IRIS-Ts, SAMP/Ts, and Hawks; weapons for our combat aircraft; everything our drones need – this is your daily work and ours. Every ambassador must bring weapons to Ukraine. Some of you may be more public, while others may be less so. It depends on the country where you serve and the specific task. Some may work through official channels, while in other places only informal channels are effective. In some cases, support from civil society and the media is indispensable; elsewhere, unnecessary public moves only get in the way. But you must bring in weapons and assist everyone who does. The KPIs for our embassies and ambassadors must be restructured accordingly. Weapons are needed. Missiles are needed. Funding for Ukraine is needed.
