US Gasoline Appears More Likely to Drop Below $4
Gasoline may be at greater risk of breaching $4 support than January natural gas. WTI crude oil at about $85 a barrel on July 31 is near the level at which it first traded in 2007, while the front-month US natural gas contract of about $2.70 per MMBtu is less than half its 2007 average of roughly $7.50. The comparison underscores deflationary forces in US energy markets.
