According to Wu Blockchain, on-chain detective ZachXBT tweeted that he currently has no plans to monitor or track the Coldcard incident, stating that he is focusing on ecosystem projects that value his work. ZachXBT also mentioned that his investigation directly led to the arrest of John Daghita (aka Lick) in the Caribbean, but he received zero compensation for the investigation. Back in January 2026, he disclosed that John was suspected of using his father’s company CMDSS’s U.S. Marshals Service contract privileges to steal over $46 million in crypto assets seized by the U.S. government. Additionally, ZachXBT revealed that in June 2026, he spent over 5 hours tracking a $600,000 scam and managed to freeze $96,000, but the other party failed to pay the promised fees. Another project had offered a $25,000 bounty, but after completing the investigation, they delayed payment for 9 months.
