According to the *Bangkok Post*, citing Thailand's Immigration Bureau Deputy Commissioner and spokesperson, Chamlong, the Thai Immigration Bureau has issued a warning that cross-border trading of amulets is being exploited as a channel for money laundering. Illegal proceeds are disguised as legitimate income through methods such as amulet trading, fake auctions, temple leasing, and peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transfers. Multiple agencies, including the Anti-Money Laundering Office, Central Investigation Bureau, Cyber Police, Department of Business Development, Revenue Department, and Customs Department, have jointly launched an interdepartmental crackdown to strengthen monitoring of cryptocurrency transactions.
