[Galaxy Research Director: Suspected Fourth Wave of Coldcard Attacks Involving 462 Addresses and Approximately 388.9 BTC]
Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn tweeted that a suspected fourth wave of organized Coldcard attacks is underway. During blocks 960,778 to 960,792, 218 transactions were identified, involving 462 victim addresses and 216 new destination addresses, totaling approximately 388.9 BTC. All accounts showed no input records prior to the Coldcard firmware boundary. The transaction frequency was 13.8 times per block, compared to a pre-event control window rate of 0.3 times per block—about 45 times higher than before the event. Some funds have already been transferred to secondary hop addresses, and similar transactions are still pending confirmation in the memory pool. Confirmed transactions indicate that RBF has been enabled.
