According to Wu Blockchain, Galaxy Research's head of research Alex Thorn stated that Coldcard is suspected to be undergoing a fourth round of organized attacks. Between blocks 960,778 and 960,792, a total of 218 transactions were identified, involving 462 victim addresses and 216 new destination addresses, amounting to approximately 388.9 BTC. All transaction inputs occurred no earlier than the Coldcard firmware boundary, with transaction frequency about 45 times higher than the pre-incident comparison window. Some funds have already been transferred to second-hop addresses, and similar transactions are still pending confirmation in the mempool. Confirmed transactions show that RBF has been enabled. The affected funds may belong to Coldcard victims, and users are advised to immediately transfer their funds out of Coldcard devices and use higher transaction fees. If the transactions support RBF, users may be able to handle them via RBF.
