[Russian Government to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining in Moscow and Other Regions Starting August 15, Ban Effective Until End of 2032]
According to Bits Media, the Russian government will prohibit cryptocurrency mining in Moscow, Moscow Oblast, and eight districts of the Kursk Krai starting August 15. The ban will remain in effect until December 31, 2032. The restrictions cover eight municipal districts in Kursk Oblast and the city of Lgov, applying to local residents participating in activities such as mining pools. The relevant decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and published on the official legal information portal of Russia.
