According to Wu Blockchain, Bitcoin Magazine Pro's analysis shows that Bitcoin's total network hashrate has been in a decline phase for approximately 287 days. Mining difficulty has dropped 19.9% from its historical peak, marking the third-deepest difficulty retracement since the adoption of specialized ASIC miners. This indicates that the current wave of miner 'capitulation' is nearing historical highs.
At the same time, $BTC has fallen about 46% over the past year, but the stock prices of some publicly listed mining companies have surged by over 430%, mainly driven by their pivot to AI and high-performance computing businesses. The report also notes that out of miners' daily revenue of approximately $30 million, only about $200,000 comes from transaction fees, which is still far from enough to replace the steadily halving block subsidies.
