Around 3:30 PM yesterday, I pulled off a wild move.
Saw some news yesterday—Hong Kong is planning to limit the 2x leveraged Hynix ETF. Basically, they’re adjusting the leverage freely, so it won’t be 2x anymore, maybe just slightly over 1x, to reduce risk.
This caused a spiral drop, and with this adjustment, there’s no chance for a spiral rise anymore.
So, I sold my 2x Hynix and switched to 2x SanDisk. After selling, I realized I couldn’t convert HKD to USD immediately—it’s T+2, meaning I’d need to wait 2 days before I could exchange it to USD and buy SanDisk. At that moment, I was worried the market might rebound strongly in those 2 days.
And guess what? Damn it, last night 2x SanDisk shot up 60%, and today 2x Hynix surged 67%. I sold at the lowest point...
My original cost was over 80, now it’s down to 42. It’ll need to double just to break even. I missed the greatest rebound ever. Thankfully, it’s just a small account in the bank.
Speechless...
