Yesterday, I really went all in. IBKR initially only had 6m available, but after scooping it all up in the morning, it kept dropping. So, I borrowed another 4m to keep buying (IBKR’s margin lending is seriously convenient—it doesn’t even remind you it’s margin, making you feel like it’s your own money ready to use). Normally, I don’t use leverage, but I dared to yesterday because I felt that even if this isn’t the bottom, it’s pretty close. Plus, with 1.6x leverage, it’s unlikely to get liquidated. Before going to bed last night, I already sold 4m to reduce the leverage. Today’s plan is to sell at least half after the Korean market opens, and then clear everything out when the U.S. market opens tonight. Even though it feels like I caught the bottom for a decent stretch, I still won’t hold long-term. All the money I’ve made in the past has been from heavy short-term trades (mainly Trump + PNUT + Binance life). I’ve barely made any money holding assets long-term. So, I’ll just stay in my comfort zone, wait for big dips, and make some quick gains. The U.S. market is super volatile, and there’s plenty to earn in the short term.
