Meme coin players switching to AI stocks and taking huge losses, but their mindset is surprisingly chill?
According to Bloomberg, two years ago, crypto trader Rahul Patel was flipping meme coins with billion-dollar market caps overnight, terrified of missing the next big wave if he didn’t sell fast.
Now, his portfolio has shifted to AI chip stocks like Nvidia and SK Hynix.
This month, the AI sector took a major hit, and his holdings in Sivers Semiconductors have dropped nearly 70% from their peak. But he’s totally unfazed—
“This is so much better! I can actually sleep at night. Back when I was trading meme coins, there was no way I could hold positions overnight without stressing out.”
Patel says he bought Sivers because he followed “White-Haired Stock God” Serenity, describing the “halo and sense of faith” these accounts create around specific stocks as almost identical to the tactics used by meme coin guru Murad back in the day!
Citrini Research analysts bluntly stated that stock prices driven by influencer-led retail hype “aren’t based on fundamentals and will inevitably collapse quickly.”
But Patel is staying calm amid this round of losses because he never intended to trade short-term—he plans to hold these AI stocks for 1 to 2 years.
In the meme coin world, that’s practically an “eternity,” and short-term price swings don’t even faze him.
The ultimate mindset from a crypto player!
