[Grayscale CEO Applies to Sell GXRP ETF Shares, Becoming the Third Insider to Cash Out]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on July 29, according to BeInCrypto, Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg submitted Form 144 to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), proposing to sell 2,611 shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) with a total value of approximately $53,400, equivalent to $20.45 per share. Previously, founder Barry Silbert and Chief Legal Officer Craig Salm had submitted similar applications in January of this year, when the per-share price was approximately $37. Mintzberg's sale price this time is about 45% lower.
Notably, the number of GXRP outstanding shares has plummeted from 5.79 million to 2.84 million over the past six months, a reduction of about 51%, reflecting sustained redemption pressure exceeding new subscriptions. Currently, the total net assets of U.S. spot XRP ETFs amount to approximately $971.6 million, with GXRP accounting for about 6%.
