[HashKey Plans to Acquire Full Equity of Singapore's APEX]
BlockBeats News, July 29, according to official sources, HashKey Holdings Limited ("HashKey" or the "Company", stock code: 3887) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HKDAG (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., has entered into a non-legally binding framework agreement with the major shareholders of Asia Pacific Exchange Pte. Ltd. ("APEX") and APEX itself, intending to acquire 100% equity of APEX.
APEX and its group operate a comprehensive and robust financial market infrastructure in Singapore. As a licensed derivatives trading platform in Singapore, APEX holds an "Approved Exchange" (AE) license issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Its subsidiary, Asia Pacific Clear Pte. Ltd., holds an "Approved Clearing House" (ACH) license, enabling integrated issuance and clearing capabilities. Under Singapore's stringent regulatory framework, there are currently only three institutions in the entire market that hold both of these licenses simultaneously.
If this proposed acquisition is successfully completed, HashKey is expected to further enhance its trading and clearing infrastructure for institutional markets, driving the development of a next-generation financial infrastructure that encompasses trading, custody, payments, clearing, and settlement. This will improve its comprehensive service capabilities for financial institutions and institutional market participants.
