Humans really are all talk and no action. Take me for example—yesterday I said I probably wouldn’t get involved today, but here I am, still involved.
Woke up before 8 a.m. this morning to wait for SK Hynix’s earnings report. Ended up falling asleep while waiting, and by the time I opened my eyes, it was almost 9 a.m. Quickly checked SK Hynix’s report—it’s pretty impressive. Just as I expected yesterday, the buying pressure started to increase after the report was released.
Korean stocks like SK gradually shifted from a decline to an upswing, rising 2%. If I had woken up 10 minutes earlier, I probably wouldn’t have gotten involved. But when I woke up, SK had just moved from rising back to falling again. At that point, I had a pretty good idea—every rebound in situations like this is just a chance for trapped investors to escape. So, I went short.
The short price was about the same as the price I closed my position at early this morning, so it kind of lined up. But now I see there’s a bit of a rebound happening. Not sure how much longer I can hold on. After I got up, I saw my highest profit was already at 75%, but now it’s down to 56%. If it pulls back a bit more, I’ll exit for now.
After all, protecting profits is the most important thing. If I can keep it above 30%, I’ll hold until the U.S. market opens.
Today’s pork chop rice made me some money again—feeling good.
