Many small exchanges really need to step up their crisis management skills. Hynix price spike incident—@tradexyz decided to offer compensation at their discretion. Here’s a translation of TradeXYZ’s statement: > Although there was a price spike, the system operated as designed. > Even though the system wasn’t at fault and it’s not directly related to us, we’ve decided to offer goodwill compensation this time. > Moving forward, the system will be designed to be more robust to handle similar situations. 'We have decided to 「cover」 liquidation losses attributable to this anomaly.' Judging by the wording, it seems like they’re offering full compensation. A lot of small exchanges really need to take notes. Usually, they just play dead when there’s no public outcry, and when there is, they just try to brush it off. Honestly, I can’t recall ever seeing one proactively step up in the public domain to announce compensation. Small, crappy exchanges deserve to be replaced. They have zero edge. The toughest job in the world must be doing BD for a small exchange.
