[Visa Q3 Revenue Reaches $11.6 Billion, Unveils Stablecoin Platform and OpenUSD Initiative] Odaily Planet Daily News – Payment company Visa reported fiscal Q3 2025 revenue of $11.6 billion, a 14% year-over-year increase, primarily driven by double-digit growth in payment volume, cross-border transaction volume, and processed transaction volume. The company stated that cross-border transaction volume grew 13% year-over-year, or 12% excluding intra-Europe transactions, while processed transaction volume increased by 10%. During its earnings call, Visa announced that it is investing in multiple layers of the stablecoin ecosystem, including blockchain, issuance, wallets, infrastructure, orchestration, and applications. The company noted that progress was made this quarter at both the issuance and application layers. Visa has joined the OpenStandard Alliance, which plans to issue the OpenUSD stablecoin for global money movement. The Visa stablecoin platform aims to support partners in settling with Visa using stablecoins, provide on-chain wallet-as-a-service infrastructure, and facilitate fund transfers between fiat and stablecoins, starting with OpenUSD. The platform will also integrate with Pismo to enable financial institutions to support tokenized deposits and plans to onboard third-party tokenized deposit infrastructure providers in the future. Visa further stated that stablecoins and AI are complementary technologies, with proxy commerce expected to expand its addressable market and drive future growth.
