Wu Blockchain has learned that Wanchain released a review stating that its Cardano—BNB Chain cross-chain bridge was exploited due to ambiguity in the serialization verification of the Cardano-side contract. The attacker used a legitimate signature from a small withdrawal transaction and reinterpreted it as authorization for a large withdrawal, stealing approximately 515 million NIGHT tokens, valued at around $9–10 million at the time of the incident.
