[Singapore Police and U.S. FBI Sign Anti-Fraud Cooperation Memorandum to Strengthen Blockchain Intelligence Sharing]
According to a report by The Independent Singapore on July 26, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) signed a memorandum of understanding on July 24 to enhance joint operations, intelligence sharing, training, and law enforcement assistance in cases of online scams, cyber fraud, and money laundering. In July, the two parties completed a joint operation targeting cross-border crypto scams between Singapore and the United States. Through information and blockchain intelligence sharing, they identified 54 victims and potential victims, preventing potential losses of approximately $2.7 million in the U.S. and about 388,000 SGD in Singapore.
