[Lido: Team Investigating Today's stETH Yield Recalculation Deviation Incident, No Risk to User Assets]
According to a report by Golden Finance, on July 26, Lido posted on the X platform stating that the development team is investigating an abnormal issue arising from the protocol accounting oracle's report, which led to today's stETH yield recalculation deviation. The recalculation shows an annualized yield rate of only 2.04%, compared to the expected value of 2.15%. This deviation was not caused by validator penalties, and there is no risk to user assets. The issue stems from a batch of 32 ETH staked by a validator that is in a pending confirmation state and was not included in the oracle's statistics.
The development team has repeatedly verified the total balance of all Lido validators on Ethereum's consensus layer at the time of the oracle report and afterward, and no signs of asset risk have been found. Users do not need to take any action.
The team is currently investigating the root cause of the issue; once the fix is implemented, the next yield recalculation will include the assets that were undercounted this time. After identifying the root cause, the official team will release a complete report on the situation.
