When Elon Musk got the question why he and Sam Altman don't get along. The answer was quite simple. Open AI started out as a non profit. The world was suppose to own and get to benefit from the open source AI company which Elon also donated money to ($200M) and now it is a $800B company. The distrust in Sam Altman also lead to the birth of Anthropic which is now one of the Behemoth in AI, since if there was no distrust, there would be no Anthropic as the Anthropic team would still be in OpenAI.
