ESPORTS is picking up again! For those who love to strategize and lie in wait, here's a tip:
Compare the total open interest (OI) across the network with the market cap (MC).
The data comparison between OI and MC can be a key indicator.
If OI is greater than MC, this metric can be one of your main focuses.
Usually, you can consider positioning yourself early. In most cases, the whales are still active and haven’t abandoned the coin.
As for whether it’s a pump-and-dump ($CS), it depends on the market maker’s (MM) trading strategy. If it’s a $CS coin, you can ride the wave with the whales—buy when it pumps, sell when it crashes, and scoop up the dips. But the key is to monitor the OI data.
Otherwise, positioning early is just a false narrative.
It’s easy to fall into a trap: many people like to target low-market-cap coins, but you’ll realize that whether a coin pumps or not has nothing to do with its market cap. The critical factor is whether the MM is still active. If they’re gone, you’ll be stuck holding the bag indefinitely.
Take ESPORTS as an example:
MC is $27M, OI is $54M—OI is 2x MC. This basically means the whales are still in play, and it’s only a matter of time before the coin pumps. But be mindful of the volatility!
