Moving towards 24-hour U.S. stock trading. The SEC announced it will hold a meeting in Washington on September 17 to discuss advancing the transition of the U.S. stock market to round-the-clock trading. This comes as several exchanges, like Nasdaq, have already been approved to extend trading hours, allowing for 23-hour trading. In the future, besides pre-market, after-hours, and regular sessions, we’ll also need to keep an eye on the longer overnight sessions.
