I've come to realize that humans are truly emotional creatures. All my positions are visible on the company’s page. So when I suddenly got hyped and gave a passionate speech about going all-in on Changxin, I actually only bought a little. Somehow, I managed to convince the company’s tech guy to feel so much FOMO that he wanted to take out a loan to go all-in. I really don’t get it. Normally, when I teach them about options, they don’t bother. Whether it’s the old degen strategy of buying $ETH puts for 10-20x gains, or the current method of selling U.S. stock puts for steady returns, no one does it! I think it’s because people find it troublesome. Human nature is lazy; we just love staying in our comfort zones. Also, there was the fourth round of farming $ASTR at a cost of 0.6. At the time, the price was 1.1, and I told our company tech guy he could borrow money to farm it, and I could even provide unlimited margin for him to hedge. Well, he didn’t do it. Instead, he wrote a program to help us farm, but he didn’t farm a single bit himself. He took all his dividends and salary and gambled them on contracts. I really can’t understand it. Back then, it was a capacity issue—I couldn’t go in with big funds, so I could only farm 2-3M. But with his small funds, he could farm as much as he wanted. After farming for three months, it would’ve doubled.
