It's hard to imagine that BitMEX will also be shut down. At first glance, I even thought that the news about BitMax being shut down had been republished. Now it seems that BitMEX has been hit internally by an iron fist. It has been accused by US regulators of violating anti money laundering laws for 20 years and has pleaded guilty for 24 years. This long tug of war period has been eroded by competitors in terms of market share. BitMEX is the inventor of "perpetual contracts", the most violent financial derivative of Crypto. Before BitMEX popularized it, people only played with delivery. Although everyone around me uses BN OK BBT for trading, Arthur's daily Twitter posts have caused me to have hallucinations—— I once mistakenly thought that there were still some loyal fans who, in unknown corners, persisted in using BitMEX for trading 。 I didn't expect them to be unable to hold on anymore. Just now, I took a look and saw that recently, trading pairs like BTC-USD perpetual have only had a daily trading volume of just over 100 million US dollars, which is 1-2 orders of magnitude lower than the neighboring exchange. So the rumor from 25 years ago is true, BitMEX is looking for buyers but has not been successful. It's a pity, I used to enjoy reading research reports released by BitMEX Research, which can be said to be one of my favorites among major CEX background studies.
