🚨 The VerusCoin Ethereum bridge was exploited for $𝟳.𝟱𝟰𝗠 — the 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 on the same bridge in two months via the identical unpatched vulnerability.
The exploiter abused the bridge's import path to trigger unbacked payouts, draining ETH, tBTC, USDC, USDT, EURC, MKR, and scrvUSD — all converted to ETH. The May incident stole ~$11.5M through the same flaw; that attacker returned funds for a 25% bounty, but a new attacker hit the same contract again.

𝗛𝘂𝗽𝘇𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: A repeat exploit on an unpatched vulnerability is a severe governance failure — combined $19M+ drained across both incidents. The flaw was publicly discoverable after May, yet remained open. Watch whether the team finally patches the bridge contract; until then, any remaining bridge liquidity is at risk.
For ETH, all stolen assets were converted to ETH, adding potential sell pressure. The attacker wallet holds a material ETH position worth monitoring for exchange deposits or OTC dumps.
