[China Refutes Trump's 'China Interfering in U.S. Elections' Claim: Groundless]
Golden Finance reported that on July 17, in response to U.S. President Trump's remarks alleging 'China interfering in U.S. elections,' Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated at a regular press conference that the U.S.'s claims are purely fabricated, malicious slander, and have long been proven to be baseless. Lin Jian said that China has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, has no interest in, and has never interfered in U.S. elections. On the contrary, it is clear to the international community who frequently interferes in other countries' internal affairs, conducts indiscriminate surveillance of governments, businesses, and ordinary citizens worldwide, and engages in large-scale theft of foreign citizens' data. 'We urge the U.S. to engage in self-reflection, stop unjustly smearing China, refrain from using China as a topic in elections, and do more to benefit China-U.S. relations.' (Xinhua News Agency)
