[US Media: Vance to Attend Meeting, Revolutionary Guard Urges Iran to Take a Tough Stance]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Three sources revealed that Vance is expected to depart for Islamabad on Tuesday morning to negotiate with Iran on a potential agreement to end the war. While reaching a comprehensive agreement under such a tight schedule is highly challenging, if signs of progress emerge, Trump may also agree to extend the deadline. Throughout Monday, the White House was waiting for a signal from Tehran confirming that it would send a negotiating delegation to Islamabad.
One informed source disclosed that Iran had been stalling, with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard apparently pressuring the negotiators to adopt a tougher stance—namely, no negotiations unless the U.S. blockade is lifted. The Iranian delegation had been awaiting the green light from the Supreme Leader. According to sources, approval was granted on Monday evening local time. Two sources stated that Vance would depart on Tuesday morning local time, while a third source suggested he might leave late Monday night. (Jin10)
