Can’t sleep tonight, so let’s dig into the logic behind this token’s price surge again. Why is it able to attract funds for a pump despite being listed for such a short time?
NIGHT is the native utility token of the Midnight network. Midnight is a privacy blockchain incubated by Cardano’s parent company, IOG (Input Output Global).
Its core technology is zero-knowledge proof (ZKP), focusing on default on-chain data privacy protection. It’s one of the most solid projects in the privacy sector right now.
The price surge logic is pretty straightforward: Midnight’s mainnet (officially named Kukolu) has been confirmed to launch in the last week of March 2026, which is basically these few days.
The mainnet launch means developers can deploy real privacy dApps in a stable environment.
With this, the NIGHT token transitions from being purely governance-focused to having utility attributes, fundamentally changing its value support logic.
Currently, its market cap is $850 million, which isn’t expensive for the privacy sector. Comparing it to Zcash and Monero, there’s still room for narrative growth.
The only thing to watch out for is the airdrop unlock pressure, which will continue until the end of the year. If you’re holding positions, don’t hold too rigidly. After the mainnet launch, if there’s a “buy the rumor, sell the news” trend, make sure to reassess your take-profit levels.
Key resistance levels are around 0.05360-0.05523. These areas have trapped positions, so whether it can break through and hold is crucial.
Support levels are in the 0.048-0.050 range. This zone is where today’s rebound started. If it holds, this mainnet-driven rally isn’t over yet.
