[JPMorgan: Oil Production Shutdown Could Reach 12 Million Barrels/Day]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on March 13, JPMorgan Chase & Co. stated that as shipping disruptions persist, the global oil production shutdown could surge to 12 million barrels per day next week.
Natasha Kaneva, head of commodities research, noted that the massive supply gap means the market can only rebalance by reducing consumption.
However, she emphasized that this is not the traditional 'demand destruction.' Consumers still need fuels such as diesel, jet fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), but the supply shortage means they simply cannot access these products.
