[Iran Claims Hormuz Strait Has Been Closed 'Not a Drop of Oil Will Flow Out']
Odaily Planet Daily News - Ebrahim Jabari, an advisor to the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated on Monday that the Hormuz Strait has been closed. Iran will fire upon any vessel attempting to pass through and will target oil pipelines and transportation routes. This is Iran's clearest warning since notifying ships on Saturday that this export channel would be closed, a move that could disrupt one-fifth of global oil transport and significantly drive up crude oil prices. Jabari, speaking on national media, said: 'The Hormuz Strait has been closed. If anyone tries to pass through, the heroes of the Revolutionary Guard and the regular navy will set those ships ablaze. We will not allow a single drop of oil to flow out of this region... In the coming days, oil prices may rise to $200.'
