[Caixin: Chinese Victims of the 60,000 Bitcoin Money Laundering Case Must Submit Additional Financial Details by June 18] Odaily Planet Daily reports that the hearing on the 'legal applicability issues' of the 60,000 Bitcoin money laundering case is scheduled for July. Chinese victims intending to pursue recovery through the UK legal process must, after completing initial registration, submit detailed financial information by June 18, 2026. This includes total investment, amount of losses, compensation already received, and supporting evidence. It is reported that this hearing will be critical for the disposition of the 60,000 Bitcoin assets. If Chinese law is applied, the relationship between the victims and Blue Sky Greentech would be considered a creditor-debtor relationship, and victims would only be able to recover their principal. If UK law is applied, victims would have proprietary interest rights over the Bitcoin, and they may also recover the appreciated portion of their losses. (Caixin)
